This is a Vulcan meditation lamp from Star Trek. Interesting is that the design, coincidentally or not, seems to have treble and bass clefs.
I’ll be back in Penang on Wednesday morning next week, and will be leaving on the following Monday morning. That being such a short time, I was thinking of coming back a day earlier, but the Chulalongkorn University Symphony has given me the Sub-Principal seat and I think I owe it to them and the viola section to attend as many rehearsals as possible. Plus it’s an interesting program, with the Barber Adagio, and Beethoven’s 4th Symphony.
In any case I’ll certainly make the most of my visit back, and it’ll be great to take some time off and rest.
