That's the Way...

...to spend an off day. Invited to a home-cooked lunch with Vietnamese collegues, then off to a CD shop, a music scores shop and an instrument shop (buying something at each stop, naturally, though don't worry, the last purchase was a string, not an instrument). Then treated to a Japanese dinner by the mother of some students (salmon steak!), and then off to catch the opening night of the Fantastic Four.

The movie was not bad, and I won't give away too much of it. On the critical side, it did seem a little too poised and prepatory for a sequel, and could have spent more on the bigger battle scenes. On the positive end, what liberties they made with the original comic series could be forgiven, considering that the series was begun in 1961.
