As with all Macs, it's coolness. But this is a high end system, and predicatably quite the expensive. I'm just happy thinking of the iBook that I'm budgeting for when I go to the States, and am contemplating getting it in black, but the contrast of the keys to the rest of it is less than appealing. Besides, Apple in its traditional white has always been cool as well.
