Toast and the Typewriter

Hmm… the availability of lighter, crust-less bread seems to rub against the inclinations of my toaster, which seems to send it flying, thus testing my hand-toast coordination. Thankfully the microwave hasn’t held a grudge for the Exploding Egg – Kaboom (EEK) incident.

In a students’ chamber group I teach, we’re trying out something I haven’t ever done before – The Typewriter, by Leroy Anderson. I plan to play the typewriter part, but the speeds I’m pushing the students to do may indeed be beyond my own typewriter capability. Fun though.

I didn't believe that eggs could explode in the microwave during the heating process, till my uncle showed me.....

Much used to soft-pad keyboards, I'm getting nervous at larger-depth traditional typewriter buttons...

And it was actually a pre-hard boiled, vaccum-packed egg that exploded, which created an interesting effect.

I should probably work on my typing. Of course I could just stand around with a triangle to supplement the "ding!"
BTW I managed to explode a piece of sotong a few weeks ago. I'm still not sure how.

eww.. i have had 1st hand experience and can vouch for the fact that af's keyboard is an absolutely ... obtuse instrument.

Playing it is ...to try to make precise words with a soft.. wobbly... imprecise... frustrating .... and ... unsatisfying.... tool.
