The Doctor Is In

I seem to be having a heckuva time debating issues on the Vision's weblog. There was the one debate I mentioned yesterday, which got this further comment from one Rachel Custer:

It just sucks that people meet one snotty rude American and automatically assume we are all like that. I think people would get another view if they would be able to travel to the midwest and meet people that are, to me, nice and down to earth.

And then there's this other debate, completely different, but same players, almost. As much as I like the professionalism of holding them in different contexts... I can't help noting that the same person says:

I don’t see much difference between the choice to be homosexual and other harmful life choices. Actions lead to consequences, something some in America have been trying to deny recently. ANY deviant sexual behavior ... can lead to disagreeable consequences, much like the choice to do drugs or steal. Every action has a consequence.

Welcome to the midwest. Where everyone is nice and down to earth.
