If you aren’t into the X-Men, this blog will make little sense to you. It turns out that the next X-Men movie installment will reveal that violists are indeed mutants.

In other movie news, movie producers have commented that there is no credence to the rumours that the hit movie The Red Violin will have a sequel titled The Purple Viola. A source who insisted on anonymity said, "After the racy scenes of The Red Violin and the scandalous nature of cello movie Hilary and Jackie, we found it difficult to maintain the R rating with a viola-based movie – which would obviously have to either be of the slapstick or horror genres. Anywhoohoo, Meryl Streep’s imitations of violin-playing in Music From the Heart were bad enough to pass as viola playing in a register-lowered DVD version."
