Take a Deep Breath

Apparently something called The Alexander Technique, a set of breathing exercises, is all the rage for musicians in Europe, and gaining importance in places like Japan. You'll get plenty of sites by Googling it. Something about lying on a hard surface with a dictionary as a pillow, and feeling the full weight of the body pushing down. Originally created for singers, but it seems, of great value to cellists too, among others - they have big masterclasses and certified teachers at 150 Euros per class. Interesting.

Yeah, i did a couple of extracurricular classes of that while in Oz.

Amazing stuff, but like yoga, only if you find THE RIGHT TEACHER.

Otherwise it can be rubbish.

I was really lucky to have a really good guy.
