Found the second movement of the Reger quite the something.
Concert announcement: this Saturday, 7pm, at AMA, Panjit Tower (Thong Lo BTS area). We'll be doing the first movement of the Brahms sextets and some lighter works... if I have the guts or too high on some stimulant or another, I may just do the Reger.
In these past couple of weeks, finally been clearing up things that I’ve been meaning to do: practice the violin, viola and harp, primarily. One of the other things left is a translation of a book on Thalassaemia for the Penang Thalassaemia Society, from English to BM. Originally I thought that when I moved to Bangkok I would have hours and hours with nothing to do, but that’s did not turn out to be the reality. Anyone want to join in and make it a joint venture? It’s quite a task, and sorry, no payment, just volunteer work. Thalassaemia is a blood disorder (not a disease), whereby patients have a low red-blood cell production, leading to blood transfusions, leading to iron overload, leading to iron chelation. Will link up the website, which is currently in the making.

Your teacher is the founding president, actually. When you settle down with your stufy schedule in the UK, let me know how things are... in the meantime you could ask Swee Hong to pass you a copy of the book - it's called "About Thalassaemia" by Androulla Eleftheriou, published by the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF). Don't be scared away by the bulk of it, we can shorten and simplify. I think it will be a significant contribution if we can do it. Heck, we could even do it by a new blog and make it accessible by Internet that way. :) Thanks!
